Living the Sacred life community

A life-altering spirituality may be simpler and more accessible than you think.

This spiritual membership community focuses on 7 spiritual pathways that lead us to

worry less, trust more, and live a life that feels sacred

Starting in the Fall of 2025

The video below highlights a previous group I facilitated. I’m sharing it here to offer you a sense of the themes and approaches that will be woven into our Living the Sacred Life Community experience.

Living the Sacred Life Community

Spirituality is a life-long journey that impacts our moment-to-moment lives. It enlivens us in the best of times, and guides and supports us when times are hard. A life-altering spirituality doesn’t have to be complicated. It doesn’t have to be only reserved for saints.

This membership community will immerse you in learning, reflection prompts, and community conversations that seek to deepen and inspire our spirituality. The Community experience will feature 3 Tiers, each of which reflects a different level of offerings:

  • Tier One

    • An online learning platform with 7 self-guided courses each of which focuses on one of the 7 Sacred Journeys. Each Journey is defined by a unique image, core concepts, and specific steps and practices that help us navigate the journey and experience spiritual growth.

    • Reflections prompts & guides for each journey

    • Access to the Sacred Journeys Community site (like Facebook)

  • Tier Two

    • The Tier One offerings

    • A weekly theme & reflection

    • A weekly spiritual practice recording and handout

    • A weekly 60-minute Zoom practice and reflection group focusing on the theme and practice for the week - I do a 15 spiritual guidance session.

  • Tier Three

    • Tier One and Two offerings

    • A monthly spiritual guidance session.

Cost for participating in this Membership Community are to be determined.

The journey to new life

The 7 Sacred journeys

  1. Out of the Trance

  2. Into the Body

  3. Up through the Ego

  4. Down into the Soul

  5. Releasing into Spirit

  6. Living out of the Gift

  7. Connecting with the Great Beyond

I have participated in two groups with Scott and have been deeply nourished by both of them. Scott’s gift for weaving powerful spiritual ideas and practices into a group experience unleashes an energy that can feed and enliven your soul. I know it has mine.   - David, Minneapolis, MN

I was looking for a way to grow and invigorate my spiritual practice. The journey has been powerful. Scott is a gifted spiritual guide and weaves together a rich combination of ideas, practices, reflections and a group interaction to share the experiences! Well worth the investment for my spiritual growth and journey.   - Diane, Bloomington, MN

Thanks to you and the 4th Way Group.  I had no way of knowing when the group started that I would end up where I have always been headed. You have provided a sacred container and I am now able to see my way clearly. Thank you for your support and insights. Your comments warm my heart.   - Maribeth, Silver City, NM

How it works

Each of the 7 group sessions is a deep dive into these 7 journeys. Each session will include

  • Prior to each session, participates are given access to an optional, online learning platform where there are materials that help with preparation for and integration of each of the Sacred Journeys

  • The online platform will provide a place for ongoing reflection on one’s Invitation and Intention.

  • Centering/meditative times

  • A teaching that explores the core concepts, steps, and practices that lead us to a homecoming with our deeper selves

  • Small and large group reflection times and conversations

  • A time for personal sharing

  • Partner conversations that occur between our session to deepen the learning and reflection.

An Example: The Ego Journey

The teaching material and conversations will focus on the following dimensions of the Ego Journey:

  • The image of the Chrysalis

  • The Core Concepts:

    • Appreciating and managing reactivity

    • Navigating the Awareness Continuum

    • Understanding Ego Mirroring

  • The Steps

    • Identifying our core reactive patterns

    • Managing emotions into a higher, healthier range

    • Embracing the spiritual practice of acceptance

  • The Practice: The Welcoming Practice

  • The Homecoming: Developing and appreciating Self-worth

Who is a good fit for this Community?

This is for people who are spiritually curious and open. This process asks participants to view this 7-month period as time of refined commitment to personal awareness work and spiritual practice. It’s not asking for perfection but rather dedication to daily practice. Interested participants submit an application.

This is an evolution of the Fourth Way Groups we’ve hosted at Sojourners over the years. If you are familiar with or curious about Gurdjieff work and his understanding of the 4th Way, chances are this’ll be a good fit for you. Feel free to click the button below to reach out if you have specific questions about the group.
