At this time of year, our sacred traditions invite us to attend to the gift of the Sacred—not only through bright lights and familiar songs, but also through a quiet, steady presence that offers assurance and peace to the heart.
Christmas speaks of the power of incarnation: the Holy choosing nearness, entering flesh and ordinary life, meeting us not in abstraction but in vulnerability, tenderness, and breath. Incarnation reminds us that what is most sacred does not hover above life, but takes root within it.
Hanukkah tells a parallel story through the quiet courage of a growing light. One candle becomes two, then three—each night a small, defiant affirmation that darkness does not have the final word. The miracle is not only that the light endures, but that it grows. Hope is practiced. Illumination is nurtured through faithful repetition.
Together, these traditions reflect an unmatchable gift: the sacred rhythm of life itself. Light arrives gradually. Meaning unfolds through time. What is most transformative comes not through force, but through presence, persistence, trust, and caring companions.
In honoring these rhythms, we are reminded that the Sacred continues to enter the world—and us—again and again, quietly reshaping everything it touches, including you, me, and our Sacred Companion Circle.
Happy holidays to you—may you be deeply touched by sacred blessings.
Wishing you Love & Light,
Scott
