A Time of Hospice and Hope

We are living in what Dr. Zach Bush calls a hospice time. He should know—he’s a hospice physician who is deeply attuned spiritually. We are in a time when the old is dying. Institutions, systems, and long-held values are eroding across the globe. While that can feel unsettling, it’s also clarifying.

I’ve seen for myself how many patients who enter hospice also enter a time when what matters most comes sharply into focus: love, presence, relationships, and personal integrity.

All of us were born into a world where we were indoctrinated into a fear-based consciousness. We were taught that we live in a world of scarcity, that we need to compete and acquire to be secure, and that we need to move fast, stay ahead, and stay in control. We are now witnessing how these patriarchal values are crumbling beneath their own weight.

There is an emerging clarity among spiritually sensitive people that something deeper is stirring beneath this eroding culture—a collective invitation to shift. This is the larger community we will be exploring in our upcoming workshop and ongoing community conversation described below.

This shift begins not with fixing the outer world, but with inner transformation. We are being called to birth an emerging spirituality within ourselves, trusting that such inner work has real and lasting impact in the world around us.

The Sacred Union of Feminine and Masculine

A key dimension of this emerging spirituality is the healing of our inner divide—the distorted patterns of the feminine and masculine that shape how we live, love, and lead.

When the shadow aspects of these energies take hold, when these energies are separated or unbalanced, we experience fragmentation and struggle. When they come into union, we experience a wholeness—an embodied spirituality that is both tender and strong, receptive and creative, grounded and visionary.

And this is a spirituality that flourishes in community.

An Invitation to Gather

On October 18, we’ll gather in person in St. Paul for a workshop from 1:00 to 5:00 pm:

Wholeness Within: The Enneagram and the Sacred Dance of Feminine and Masculine.

This will be a space of learning, reflection, and shared conversation, inviting you to explore how this union lives in you and how it might guide your work and relationships in this hospice time.

To guide this exploration, we’ll use the wisdom of the Enneagram to explore nine ways that our personalities express and heal the feminine and masculine energies. And we will pay special attention to how the intelligence centers of the head, heart, and body are crucial in integrating the healthy feminine and masculine. No previous Enneagram knowledge is needed.

Because this work best unfolds over time and in community, participants will have the option to continue the conversation in ongoing Zoom groups and closing workshop that deepens and extend the insights we begin together.

Finding Peace, Power, and Purpose

In the midst of uncertainty and global change, this is sacred, essential work—inner work that becomes outer transformation. Together, we can move toward new levels of peace, power, and groundedness—qualities the world is hungry for.

We invite you to join us as we explore how this new spirituality is being born, right here, within us and among us.
